University of California, Riverside improves the registration experience with Ellucian Banner

University of California, Riverside, a 4‑year public institution of over 15,000 students (many Pell grant recipients and first‑generation students), needed to modernize its student registration system. In 2012 the university selected Ellucian and implemented Ellucian Banner® to deliver a more intuitive, contemporary registration experience.

Ellucian implemented Banner 9 Registration, providing a flexible, customizable interface with movable windows, a colorful block‑style calendar, linked course pairing, and real‑time full‑class indicators. By using Ellucian Banner®, UCR made course search and enrollment easier and more student‑friendly, strengthening the schedule‑of‑classes usability and supporting enrollment and retention goals.
