Tyler Junior College, one of the largest community colleges in Texas, faced outdated admissions and enrollment portals and fragmented recruitment processes that let prospective students fall through the cracks. To modernize outreach, event registration, and application workflows, the college selected Ellucian and implemented Ellucian CRM Recruit™ to provide an integrated, configurable recruitment system tied to its Banner ERP.
Ellucian deployed CRM Recruit (initially 4.2, upgraded to 4.5) to automate workflows, enable event tracking and the Texas Common Application, and deliver targeted, data‑driven communications. As a result, Tyler’s application pool rose from 5% to 19% year‑over‑year within the first three months; spring applications +5%, summer +14%, fall +9%; campus visits jumped from 11 to 44 per day; spring enrollment increased nearly 4%; Hispanic applications grew 7% overall (term gains of 9% spring, 13% summer, 7% fall); and dental hygiene applications rose 9% with 122 additional information requests — outcomes achieved with Ellucian’s solution and support.
