Troy University faced the urgent challenge of getting pandemic-era emergency relief funds to the students who needed them most but lacked an efficient, reliable process. Working with Ellucian and using Ellucian Ethos, Ellucian Workflow, and Ellucian Colleague, the university sought a way to identify high-need students and streamline applications and disbursements.

Ellucian implemented a solution that used Ellucian Workflow to prioritize students flagged for exceptional need and a dynamic online form (fed by data from Colleague) to let other eligible students apply; the form auto-populated fields, restricted access to eligible applicants, and generated reports to speed distribution. The result: Ellucian helped Troy University distribute $4.3 million through CRRSAA, $7.7 million in total emergency relief funding, and serve 9,035 students quickly and accurately.
