Olivet Nazarene University, a private faith-based liberal arts university in Bourbonnais, Illinois, was struggling with aging, resource-intensive IT systems that created operational inefficiencies, complicated server management, and limited innovation. The university needed a more sustainable approach to support student services and keep pace with other institutions moving to SaaS solutions, so it turned to Ellucian and its Colleague SaaS platform.
Ellucian implemented Ellucian Student powered by Colleague SaaS, adding self-service, analytics, and seamless integrations to reduce the burden on IT and improve agility. The results were significant: ONU redirected 80 hours per week of technical effort to user experience and support work, and support response times dropped from two to three days to about three hours, while enabling staff to focus more directly on students and innovation.
