The University of San Diego needed a single degree‑planning system that let students search and register for courses and plan ahead without switching tools. They selected Ellucian and its Ellucian Degree Works product to replace their legacy degree audit system and better integrate planning with their Banner registration environment.

Ellucian implemented Ellucian Degree Works and integrated the planner-to-schedule workflow with Banner Registration so students can move from plan to registration in one process. As a result, students and advisors are more informed and empowered, students can easily track progress or change paths, and the registrar, faculty, and staff benefit from greater flexibility (including full‑length course attributes) and streamlined operations.
