Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, a 4-year public institution, faced a significant challenge in managing a complex enrollment process made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic and risks to its data center. To modernize and secure operations, the university partnered with Ellucian and adopted Ellucian Banner along with a suite of digital tools to drive a structured digital transformation.

Ellucian implemented Ellucian Banner and supporting digital solutions to streamline registration and application workflows, enabling UASD to efficiently process large volumes of students. As a result, enrollment rose from 186,000 to more than 200,000, the registration timeline was cut from three months to only five days, and the university successfully handled over 50,000 new student applications.
