Spartanburg Methodist College, a private 4-year institution in South Carolina, needed to replace an outdated student information system that was becoming difficult to maintain and was limiting campus operations such as registration as enrollment grew. The college turned to Ellucian and its SaaS student information system, powered by Banner and Colleague, to support its transition from a two-year to a four-year institution.

Ellucian implemented the SaaS solution in nine months, giving Spartanburg Methodist modern cloud-based technology, regular updates, and flexible support for non-standard term lengths and self-service registration. The upgrade also improved the student experience through Ellucian Experience and delivered measurable impact, including more than $300,000 in annual savings and $20,000 in additional annual revenue.
