Schoolcraft College discusses campus advancement through Ellucian Ethos

Schoolcraft College needed a way to let students access courses that require high-performance computing or graphically intensive software without coming to campus. To solve this, the college partnered with Ellucian and deployed Ellucian Ethos to manage identity and entitlement data for virtual desktops and applications.

Using Ellucian Ethos to centralize data into the Ethos data model and integrate with VMware and Active Directory, Ellucian replaced point-to-point integrations with a cloud-based approach. As a result, students can access any class environment from anywhere, virtual desktops are identifiable via Ethos, and the college can move a computer lab across campus within an hour—demonstrating faster deployment and broader remote access enabled by Ellucian.
