Effat University, a pioneering private women’s university in Jeddah, needed an accurate, timely way to track student participation and value-point grading for its Effat Ambassadors Programme (EAP). The university was relying on manual Microsoft Excel processes across dozens of activities and thousands of records, which caused errors and heavy staff burden, so Effat engaged Ellucian and implemented Banner by Ellucian to modernize the workflow.

Ellucian customised Banner and integrated it with fingerprint time-attendance devices to automate real-time data capture, grading and reporting, eliminating manual entry and retrieval. The Ellucian solution removed human error, sped up reporting to minutes, improved faculty and student confidence, and delivered measurable savings of more than SAR 2,000,000 (about $500,000) in MIETS staffing and administration.
