Midlands Technical College (MTC) struggled to reach prospective Gen Z students—email reminders were ignored, students arrived on wrong dates, and paper-based on-site registration created long lines and data errors. To modernize communications and streamline Senior Day events, MTC turned to Ellucian and implemented Ellucian CRM Recruit.

Working with Ellucian, MTC connected a text-messaging application to Ellucian CRM Recruit, created an advanced find for mobile outreach, and deployed multiple mobile check-in stations and a Fast Lane that logs SMS replies to student records in real time. The Ellucian solution increased Senior Day attendance, reduced no-shows, cut wait times and bottlenecks (check-in time dropped from about a minute to mere seconds), achieved a 75–80% text response rate, and improved data accuracy and staff efficiency.
