Partnering to Achieve Notable Firsts in Kuwait

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) needed to meet rapidly evolving student and institutional technology expectations as it launched and grew, delivering convenient online and mobile services for a diverse student body. To build a scalable, integrated campus services environment, AUK partnered with Ellucian and adopted Banner, the Ellucian Luminis Platform, and Ellucian Mobile.

Ellucian delivered a rapid Banner implementation, a unified Luminis portal with self-service for students, faculty and administrators, and mobile apps that made AUK the first university in Kuwait to offer an integrated student services platform and mobile applications. Ellucian also helped resolve a vendor licensing dispute at a cost of $375,000 (versus a potential liability of more than $700,000), enabled growth of virtual machines from 20 to 34 saving $70,000, and supported ongoing productivity and adoption gains recognized with an Ellucian Innovative Technology Award.
