Monmouth University simplifies payment and reconciliation processes through partnership with Ellucian and TouchNet

MonMouth University, a private institution in West Long Branch, New Jersey, faced a fragmented, time-consuming payments environment after its prior vendor could no longer process student refunds. To consolidate billing, payments, refunds and e-commerce, the university selected Ellucian and TouchNet and implemented the Ellucian Payment Center by TouchNet® alongside its Ellucian Colleague ERP.

Ellucian, in partnership with TouchNet, delivered a unified payment platform that eliminated multiple vendors, added single sign-on and real-time dashboard updates, and streamlined GL posting and reconciliation. The solution—including eRefunds PLUS—ensured PCI and regulatory compliance, enabled immediate student and GL posting, reduced business-office inquiries, and supported timely distribution of CARES Act funds, improving efficiency and the user experience.
