Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) — which includes ADVETI, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic and Fatima College of Health Science — faced fragmented student records and inconsistent data after running multiple versions of Banner across its institutions and 11 campuses. The disparate systems created application-support and management challenges, incomplete module implementations (such as Graduation and Compliance), and slowed services for staff and students. ACTVET engaged Ellucian and its Banner™ student information system to consolidate and standardize operations.

With technical support from Ellucian, ACTVET executed a two‑year consolidation to merge all institutional databases onto a single Banner platform, build the required IT infrastructure, implement multi‑entity processing and role‑level access, and create a centralized support team. The unified Banner system enabled online registration and self‑service, cut processing times from days to hours, sped record processing 10× (from 3 minutes to 30 seconds), reduced enrolment processing time by 30%, and lowered servers, licensing and operational costs by about 60% while halving IT workload — delivering faster services and better decision‑making across the institutions.
