How the Alabama Community College System used Elevate to standardize workforce training across the state

The Alabama Community College System faced a statewide challenge: scale continuing education to meet the governor’s goal of adding 500,000 credentialed workers by 2025 across 24 institutions in more than 130 locations, but inconsistent registration methods and disparate data made it impossible to standardize programs or aggregate insights. To solve this, ACCS selected Ellucian, deploying Ellucian Elevate integrated with Ellucian Banner Cloud to create a unified, systemwide continuing education platform.

Ellucian standardized catalogs, naming conventions, and data standards, automated reporting, and digitized registration and payments, simplifying workforce training across all institutions and locations. As a result of Ellucian’s solution, ACCS identified roughly twice as many enrolled students as previously self-reported, accelerated registration and payment processing, improved transcripted workforce credentials, and gained statewide, data-driven visibility to build a more effective workforce pipeline and stronger employer partnerships.
