Muskegon Community College partnered with Ellucian to address gaps in in-house IT skills and challenges retaining specialized staff. Using Ellucian Managed Services along with Ellucian CRM Recruit and Ellucian CRM Advise, the college sought outside expertise to support its technology-driven campus and advance a student success initiative.
Ellucian’s long-term Managed Services engagement (in place since 2005) filled skill gaps, supplied elite IT staff, and enabled IT leadership—including a 20‑year CIO—to sit on the president’s cabinet and inform strategic decisions. As a result, Ellucian helped Muskegon Community College achieve effective retention of IT staff, advance key leadership goals, and maintain access to high-level technical talent that directly supports student-success efforts.
