Holyoke Community College (HCC), a mid-sized, Hispanic-Serving two-year institution in Massachusetts, needed to audit 25 MassTransfer A2B pathways and report results on official transcripts to meet a state mandate. Manually reviewing and annotating 2,100+ transcripts per year was time-consuming and impractical, so HCC turned to Ellucian, leveraging Ellucian Degree Works (and integration with Ellucian Banner) to find a scalable solution.

Ellucian implemented a MassTransfer block in Degree Works that performs a single what-if audit across all pathways and a script that updates Ellucian Banner so completed pathways appear on transcripts under Academic Achievements. The new process lets students and advisors run pathway audits anytime, simplified staff workflows, and saved HCC 175 hours by eliminating manual stamping—improving clarity for university admissions and helping students transfer more smoothly.
