Hawkeye Community College, a 2-year public institution in Waterloo, Iowa, was looking to modernize operations while avoiding costly mistakes. Ellucian Ethos connected Hawkeye’s textbook opt-out process, student evaluation system (SmartEvals), SIS, and other tools, eliminating double work and making data transfers nearly hands-off. The integration automatically keeps rosters, sections, faculty information, and drop status up to date, enabling new survey workflows and faster, more accurate textbook charging. Hawkeye reports that Ellucian Ethos saves time and effort, reduces manual processing, and gives staff a “set it and forget it” approach that supports future SaaS migration.
