St. John’s University, a 4-year private institution with more than 15,000 students, needed to modernize how it presented tasks and collected data from students and employees. As it migrated to SaaS, the university also wanted to reduce the heavy burden of customizations and technical debt built up over 25 years.
Ellucian implemented Intelligent Processes, a no-code workflow and task automation solution, to help St. John’s streamline financial responsibility agreements, onboarding/offboarding checklists, holds-related actions, and other internal processes. With Ellucian, the university improved the student and employee experience, increased productivity, and freed IT to focus on more strategic work, while also enabling non-technical staff to build workflows and helping the institution move away from custom scripts and PL/SQL processes.
