The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech), a private university with about 400 students, faced rising competition in a rapidly expanding higher-education market, along with segregated, hard-to-access data and a need to give students hands-on experience with online tools. To preserve its high standards in teaching and research while scaling operations, GUtech turned to Ellucian and its PowerCampus Digital Campus solution.

Ellucian’s PowerCampus, implemented with partner IMS and integrated with Microsoft Dynamics GP, automated student records, registration and academic tracking and delivered a SharePoint-based PowerCampus Portal for role-based self-service. The unified system gave staff timely access to enrolment, retention and financial reports, supported the university’s first paperless semester, streamlined monthly and ministry reporting, and increased administrative efficiency so faculty can better identify and support individual student needs.
