Allan Hancock College sought to unify multiple systems to improve student and alumni access to employment opportunities while protecting sensitive records. The college’s primary challenge was integrating Ellucian Banner with third‑party Jobspeaker for a platform that could serve tens of thousands of current students and alumni, without exposing data for users who chose not to participate; Ellucian and its Ethos integration framework were central to the effort.

Ellucian enabled the integration by providing Ethos endpoints and hands‑on support while AHC and Jobspeaker configured the connections, delivering single sign‑on, minimizing the amount of sensitive data pulled from Banner, and creating an extensible integration infrastructure. As a result, Allan Hancock College now connects students and alumni to hundreds of potential employers, handled data security for a large user base, went live smoothly with no follow‑up issues, and has a repeatable Ethos approach for future integrations.
