Seton Hall University faced the challenge of digitizing routine HR paperwork while preserving document security, integrity, and traceability. To address this, the university implemented Ellucian Banner Human Resources, using Ellucian Banner Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) to replace paper routing and manual approvals.
Ellucian’s EPAFs automated and standardized personnel transactions, defaulting common values to reduce keying errors, providing validation checks to prevent invalid entries, and creating a clear audit trail so staff can see where documents are in the process. As a result, Seton Hall saved time and resources, streamlined hiring and pay processing, improved data integrity, and made document status easy to monitor.
