Baylor University builds a mobile foundation with Ellucian Mobile and Banner® by Ellucian

Baylor University, a private research institution with 16,263 students, needed to meet rising student demand for fast, simple mobile services while easing pressure on its IT staff. To address this complex, changing mobile landscape the university selected Ellucian’s Ellucian Mobile, integrated with Banner® by Ellucian and supporting SSO and third‑party application integration.

Ellucian delivered the Platform edition of Ellucian Mobile, enabling Baylor to launch the OsoMobile app with native features (maps, directory, notifications, news, events, multimedia), customizable code via The Commons, and secure Banner integration. The solution reduced development burden on Baylor’s IT team, accelerated rollout and customization, and drove adoption — about 4,300 downloads with a strong post‑orientation spike — giving Baylor a scalable mobile foundation and measurable early wins.
