At Chippewa Valley Technical College, proactive outreach keeps students on track

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC), a public two-year college serving about 11,000 students, needed a single integrated advising system to support proactive, campus-wide outreach and reduce siloed student records. To streamline communications and give faculty and student services a shared view of each student, CVTC chose Ellucian and implemented Ellucian CRM Advise in November 2017.

Ellucian CRM Advise centralized student data and connected faculty, advisors, and student services, enabling quick early alerts, shared interventions, and a customized faculty dashboard. As a result, early-alert submission now takes roughly one-third the time, administrative processing is projected to save about 5 hours per week (≈260 hours/year), campus-wide data integration and improved case notes have been achieved, and historically flagged students showed about 35% higher persistence—outcomes made possible by Ellucian.
