Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC), a two‑year public college in Gresham, Oregon, needed funds to advance strategic priorities—improving access, retention and completion, boosting gateway course success, expanding STEM, and aligning programs with industry. To identify and pursue external funding and build internal grant capacity, MHCC engaged Ellucian Grants Services.

Ellucian Grants Services helped MHCC put grant policies and procedures in place, write competitive applications, and run a sustained pursuit strategy; as a result MHCC secured nearly $9.7 million in under two years—including a $2.1M Title III award, $1.2M Talent Search, $453,129 OTC grant (plus $597,730 partner commitments) for an Advanced Manufacturing Certification center, $150K STEM Hub designation, and $15K for OER—while increasing proposals, improving success rates, and creating a lasting grants office and culture change.
