Case Study: Hilbert College achieves institution-wide data integrity and actionable reporting with Ellucian PowerCampus Enterprise Reporting and Analytics

Access to institution-wide, reliable data and robust reporting tools enables more impactful decision making

Hilbert College, a private Catholic institution of about 1,089 students, struggled with limited reporting (relying on Microsoft Access), departmental data silos, and inconsistent definitions that hindered campus-wide decision making. To address this, Hilbert engaged Ellucian to extend its PowerCampus administrative system using PowerCampus Enterprise Reporting and PowerCampus Analytics (built on Evisions’ Argos) to give departments broader, standardized access to institutional data.

Ellucian’s implementation provided a single authoritative data source with out-of-the-box dashboards, pivot tables and drill-down reports, automated hourly integrations (e.g., with Blackboard), and self-service reporting; users have created more than 60 reports used across the college. As a result, data discrepancies were eliminated, cohort and enrollment metrics were standardized, transfer students were identified as graduating at almost double the rate of first-time students, and decision makers now have real-time insights to identify at-risk students and drive more impactful decisions.
