A better, more efficient way to recruit the right students

Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK), a community college in Pine Bluff with about 2,955 students, faced declining enrollment and a shift to younger applicants while its recruiters relied on Excel spreadsheets. Seeking a modern, integrated recruiting solution that would work with its existing Ellucian Colleague ERP, SEARK implemented Ellucian CRM Recruit in fall 2018 to streamline outreach and better target prospective students.

Ellucian worked with SEARK on an intensive implementation and training program using its My Projects collaboration site, delivering tight integration between CRM Recruit and Colleague so applications move automatically into the ERP. The Ellucian solution automated manual processes, improved recruiter collaboration, provided clearer metrics and event-tracking, and made recruiting more efficient—saving substantial staff time, enabling better targeting of prospects, and giving SEARK actionable data to measure recruitment effectiveness.
