Connecting Students to Opportunity with Cross Registration

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) needed a scalable way to give students across its 22 colleges easier access to required courses so they could finish programs on time, without being limited by geography. To address this challenge, TCSG turned to Ellucian, using Ellucian Cross Registration and Ellucian Experience as the foundation for its statewide course-sharing initiative.

Ellucian helped TCSG launch TCSG Connect, a unified, automated registration model that lets students search for, self-register in, and take shared classes through their home-college interface. The result was more than 120 shared courses offered at launch and over 100 students enrolled, while also streamlining cross-institution enrollment, improving operational efficiency, and expanding instructional capacity across the system.
