Modernizing Operations with Ellucian SaaS

The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus worked to modernize its academic and administrative operations while maintaining uninterrupted service for students. As part of a multi-campus federation with diverse operational needs, the campus faced manual processes, fragmented data, legacy infrastructure, and pressure to reduce costs. Ellucian’s SaaS Platform was used to support this transformation.

Ellucian implemented a phased SaaS approach, including Ellucian Experience and Ellucian Insights, along with capabilities for data migration, student registration, finance, and accounts receivable. The campus went live in July 2025 and successfully registered and billed more than 1,300 students on time, avoided an extra year of external hosting costs, and gained better visibility into data and decision-making through Ellucian Insights.
