American University of Beirut elevates student experience with Ellucian Experience Central Workspace

American University of Beirut (AUB) worked with Ellucian to modernize the student experience for its diverse community of more than 8,000 students, including on-campus, online, and executive learners. AUB’s challenge was that students had to juggle multiple logins, URLs, and outdated self-service tools to access key services like registration, financial aid, and payment information.

Ellucian implemented Ellucian Experience, a role-based central workspace with single sign-on, card-style navigation, and no- and low-code customization to create a personalized one-stop portal. The result is faster access to essential services, customized dashboards for different student groups, improved staff productivity through simpler workflows, and a more unified IT ecosystem; while rollout is still in progress, AUB is already seeing fewer steps and expects greater operational efficiency and student engagement.
