Simplifying Financial Aid with Scholarship Universe

Logan University, a private university in Chesterfield, Missouri, was struggling with manual scholarship administration that was time-consuming, inefficient, and hard to scale. Working with Ellucian and its Scholarship Universe platform, the university needed a better way to help students find and apply for scholarships they actually qualified for while reducing the burden on financial aid staff.

Ellucian implemented Scholarship Universe to automate student matching, streamline scholarship review, and improve tracking for both internal and external scholarships. The results included saving staff about 14 hours per week during peak periods, increasing visibility into external scholarship activity, and improving the student experience with more transparent, digital-first access to opportunities.
