How Austin Area Obstetrics, Gynecology and Fertility Is Bringing New Treatments to Patients With Elligo’s Goes Direct® Approach

Austin Area Ob-Gyn & Fertility, a large women’s health practice in the Austin, Texas area, wanted to bring more treatment options to patients with endometriosis but had struggled to run clinical studies alongside regular patient care. Patients also often faced barriers traveling to outside research sites. To address this, the clinic partnered with Elligo Health Research and used Elligo’s Goes Direct® approach to bring a Phase II oral pain medication trial for endometriosis into the clinic.

Elligo Health Research handled the trial infrastructure, including study setup, regulatory work, patient identification through electronic health records, and day-to-day study management at no charge to the clinic. The result was rapid execution: the study was up and running in one month, and within eight months Austin Area Ob-Gyn & Fertility became the highest screening and enrolling site in the United States for the trial. The partnership improved patient participation and led the practice to add three additional trials.
