Tulsa Public Schools supports 8,000 ELL students with Ellevation

Tulsa Public Schools faced challenges in managing data for its 8,000 English Language Learners and in helping classroom teachers differentiate instruction. Their student information system was insufficient, leading to confusion and a lack of actionable data. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Ellevation to use its EL data management platform and instructional tools.

The solution implemented was Ellevation, which provided a centralized home for all EL data and gave teachers access to the Ellevation Strategies library. This enabled teachers to immediately differentiate instruction with research-based activities. As a result, the district streamlined compliance, empowered teachers to support students from day one, and increased teacher confidence and retention. Ellevation became the foundational piece of Tulsa's EL program.
