Napa Valley Schools Uses Ellevation to Effectively Exit and Monitor English Learners

Napa Valley Schools, a district of 30+ schools serving about 18,000 students in northern California, needed a better way to manage its English Learner program. With nearly 3,500 English Language Learners and many long-term English Learners, the district struggled with manual data pulls, complex reclassification decisions, and inconsistent RFEP monitoring.

Using Ellevation’s platform, including the Exit Center and monitoring tools, Napa Valley Schools automated exit identification based on custom grade-level criteria and streamlined mandatory RFEP tracking. Ellevation also helped the district surface long-term EL trends and spark instructional conversations, supporting improved oversight for more than 800 RFEP students and helping the district share effective practices across schools.
