Greenfield Union School District partnered with Ellevation to tackle a long-standing challenge: student data for English Learners was scattered and difficult to use for timely reclassification decisions. Norma De Santos, the district’s English Learner Coordinator, explained that the district had data, but it was “all over the place,” making it hard to quickly identify students ready to exit the program.

By implementing Ellevation, Greenfield Union was able to clean up and organize its reclassification data, run reports quickly, and support intervention planning, summer school, and teacher assignments. The result was a smoother reclassification process and a measurable increase in outcomes: on October 22, 2015, the district reclassified 11% of its English Learners, a 3% increase from its previous largest exit group. Ellevation also helped improve collaboration and save staff time.
