Garland ISD Supporting Individual Student Needs with Ellevation

Garland Independent School District, a large Texas district serving 57,000 students including more than 15,000 English Language Learners, was struggling to manage its ELL program with paper documents and huge spreadsheets. The district needed a better way to transfer student information, support teachers with actionable data, and keep up with frequent student movement and evolving compliance requirements.

To address this, Garland ISD implemented Ellevation to improve program efficiency, visibility into student data, and instruction for language learners. With Ellevation, the district centralized LPAC history, sped up documentation and decision-making, and enabled collaborative workflows for teacher recommendations. The results included stronger teacher collaboration and more informed student support, and in 2017 Garland completed 6,189 MOY LPACs in 16 days while gathering nearly 10,000 designated support recommendations in 23 days.
