Innlandskraft reduces energy consumption by 6.8% with Eliq

Norwegian utility company Innlandskraft partnered with vendor Eliq to deploy a smart energy app as part of a national program. Their challenge was to investigate the benefits of services based on smart meter data and help over 1,000 customers reduce their energy consumption.

The solution was a white-label mobile and web app from Eliq that provided customers with energy insights, forecasts, and alerts. The results showed a sustained behavioral change, with an average consumption reduction of 6.8% and a median reduction of 8.7% over a multi-year evaluation period. Eliq's solution led to 71% of users successfully lowering their electricity use.
