Manter moves from ETO to CTO, and has an easier time fulfilling their customers’ wishes

Manter, an Emmen‑based maker of complex weighing and packaging machines sold in 72 countries (95% export), faced the problem that its highly configurable products could no longer be documented or sold on paper. Sales reps and dealers needed an intuitive way to configure bespoke lines correctly, reduce Engineer‑to‑Order work, and deliver accurate, timely offers worldwide. To address this, Manter selected Elfsquad’s online configurator and became one of Elfsquad’s launch customers to jointly design the solution.

Elfsquad delivered a visual, rules‑based configurator that guides salespeople through pricing and guided selling while enforcing standardized Configure‑to‑Order product structures for engineers. As a result Manter has moved toward CTO processes, reduced manual ETO effort, enabled faster, error‑free quotes in the field, and set the stage to parameterize SolidWorks for automated drawings. Elfsquad’s tool has shortened time‑to‑quote and is expected to lower delivery times and boost production efficiency as more orders are processed directly in the configurator.
