National Information Technology Authority, Uganda - Customer Case Study

Impiger Technologies partnered with the National Information Technology Authority, Uganda (NITA‑U) to deliver a scalable, cost‑effective Unified Messaging and Collaboration Suite for the Government of Uganda. The government faced fragmented use of public and private email systems across agencies, creating inefficiencies, security risks, duplicated infrastructure and poor knowledge management that hindered basic collaboration and service delivery.

Impiger implemented an open‑source collaboration suite—providing unified corporate email, calendaring, contacts, corporate social features, instant messaging and audio/video conferencing—and migrated existing systems and data into a centralized platform. The rollout consolidated messaging across departments onto a single server, reduced duplication and security exposure, and improved collaboration efficiency for government employees.
