Case Study: Ministry of Education and Sports achieves improved planning and real-time school oversight with Eleviant Tech

Inspection Information System for Ministry of Education and Sports, Uganda

Impiger Technologies partnered with the Ministry of Education and Sports, Uganda to replace slow, paper-based school inspections with a modern Inspection Information System for the Uganda Teacher and School Effectiveness Project (UTSEP). The challenge was to collect, consolidate and analyse frequent, geographically dispersed school data—attendance, child protection, facilities and inspector activity—to inform the Ministry’s Education Sector Strategic Plan and improve oversight.

Impiger delivered a GPS-enabled mobile app for inspectors, an SMS-based school self-reporting system, and a web application with an integrated API and interactive dashboard (charts, maps, drill-down reports and audit trails). The solution provided real-time, consolidated data for planners and DES officials, speeding reporting, improving supervision, and enabling better planning, budgeting and timely execution of education programs.
