Helping a Dallas 100 Award Winner Digitize their Evidence Management System

The client, a Dallas 100 Award–winning leader in mobile video solutions that supplies in‑car and body cameras to roughly one‑third of U.S. and Canadian law enforcement agencies, needed to replace an inefficient DVD‑based evidence distribution process. They wanted a secure, scalable way to digitize, upload, organize and share large volumes of video evidence with law enforcement and district attorneys while enforcing authenticated, role‑based access and audit controls.

Impiger built a cloud‑based evidence management system on Azure Gov Cloud—an ASP.NET MVC web portal with user registration, role‑based access, audit logs, notifications and a Web‑Queue‑Worker architecture using Azure Storage Queues, AzCopy and SAS tokens to upload and share large files asynchronously. Delivered in about 10 weeks under budget, the solution eliminated DVDs, enabled near‑real‑time sharing with district attorneys, tightened security and access control, and provided full auditability of evidence operations.
