DLR Group Finds Accounting Efficiencies With Elevia Payables Product

DLR Group, an integrated design firm with 19 U.S. offices and about 500 employees, struggled with a paper-heavy, decentralized payables process after implementing Deltek Vision: 20 offices processed incoming invoices locally, relying on copies, red folders and weekly overnight shipments, and the AR/AP team still had to manually match roughly 2,300 scanned invoices per month. To streamline approvals and better align Vision with their processes, DLR Group engaged EleVia Software and its Elevia Payables Approval & Tracking (PAT) solution.

EleVia Software deployed PAT to scan and route invoices, notify approvers, display electronic invoices alongside project contracts in Vision, and provide built-in mark-up and error-checking; EleVia also customized PAT to flag incorrect vendor/GL entries and enforce DLR Group’s consultant payment rules. The implementation eliminated the manual matching workload for those ~2,300 monthly invoices, sped approvals with no formal training required, and delivered clear improvements in payables accuracy and efficiency.
