Yachiyo, through its U.S. affiliate AY Manufacturing, needed a more reliable and transparent way to manage supplier quality as product complexity and production volumes grew. Its aging quality system was causing crashes, data loss, and poor traceability, making it difficult to meet strict automotive quality and compliance expectations. AY Manufacturing selected Elemica and its cloud-based Elemica Quality solution to modernize supplier quality management.

Elemica implemented supplier nonconformance management, supplier concern reporting, scorecarding, and calibration management on the Elemica Quality platform, with plans to extend it to PPAP and IPP processes. The result was faster reporting, improved audit readiness, better compliance, reduced risk from late supplier countermeasures, and less workload for quality teams.
