Wacker Chemie, a global chemical company with 17,000+ employees and operations in 31 countries, needed to modernize customer-facing sales processes as more trading partners expected EDI, automated digital connections, and network-based order handling. In partnership with Elemica, Wacker Chemie looked to support outbound order-to-cash workflows, invoice compliance, delivery scheduling, and automated communication for customer orders.
Elemica implemented its Business Network and QuickLink Email solutions to automate large customer orders, order confirmations, ASNs, and order changes. This reduced manual entry, improved accuracy, and saved Wacker Chemie about 5–10 minutes per order while giving customers faster, more reliable updates. According to Wacker Chemie, Elemica’s support made difficult situations manageable and helped the company win and retain business through repeatable digital onboarding processes.
