CPRE boosts unique visitors 37% with Elementary Digital

CPRE, the Campaign to Protect Rural England, faced the challenge of uniting its dozens of local branches under a single digital platform. Their existing Joomla site could not effectively promote local campaigns on a national level or allow branches to thrive independently. Elementary Digital was tasked with creating a new, flexible solution to serve as both a national hub and a local home for each charity.

Elementary Digital designed a WordPress multisite network for CPRE, using Elasticsearch to aggregate content from all the local branches onto the main national site. They successfully migrated all content from Joomla and implemented a system where each local site could retain its own character on a separate domain. The solution led to a network of 40 sites containing over 11,700 articles and resulted in a 37% increase in unique visitors two years after launch.
