Populate is a healthcare startup founded to combat clinician burnout caused by archaic and inefficient electronic health record (EHR) systems. Their challenge was to build a customer-centric application from scratch that would drastically cut down the time doctors spend on documentation. Lacking an in-house design team, they turned to the UI/UX design agency Eleken to bring their product vision to life.

Eleken implemented a highly collaborative and iterative design process, working closely with Populate and its potential users to create an app focused on speed and time-saving. The solution incorporated features like AI-powered templates, auto-populate dropdowns, and speech-to-text dictation, with each design decision evaluated for its ability to minimize clicks and scrolls. The result was an intuitive interface that helps doctors maximize time savings relative to status-quo software, allowing them to spend more time with patients. Eleken delivered the final ready-to-code Figma mockups for the application.
