National Maritime Museum creates an immersive Voyagers Gallery with Electrosonic

The National Maritime Museum sought to share its world-class collection in an innovative way to help visitors gain a richer understanding of Britain’s seafaring heritage. Their challenge was to create an immersive experience simulating the feel of the ocean for a new Voyagers Gallery, using soundscapes and audiovisual technology to tell stories relevant to visitors of all ages. They partnered with vendor Electrosonic to develop this solution.

Electrosonic implemented a solution that seamlessly integrated hundreds of objects, videos, historical images, and powerful audio with innovative audiovisual projection. This created intense, changing patterns of images and words on a massive dynamic wavelike structure. The result was a powerful fusion of architecture, storytelling, and technology that exceeded expectations, engaging a diverse range of visitors and reinforcing the museum's reputation as a fascinating destination for the 21st century.
