Liberty Science Center takes Beyond Rubik's Cube on a 7-year world tour with Electrosonic

The Liberty Science Center faced the challenge of making the 40-year-old Rubik's Cube icon relevant and engaging for a new, tech-savvy generation. They needed to use technology to explain the puzzle's concepts and demonstrate its relevance to math and science, while also creating an exhibit that was cool, entertaining, and had an immediate "wow" factor. Electrosonic was appointed to develop immersive interactive solutions for this exhibition.

Electrosonic's solution included projection mapping and motion sensing to display real-time fractal images, twenty custom tablets for interactive applications, and multi-touch tables for puzzle design. A mobile control room with remote monitoring provided control for the exhibition's seven-year world tour. The result is a touring exhibition that continues to wow global audiences, successfully replicating the mental and physical challenges of the original puzzle and engaging a new generation. Electrosonic delivered a solution that maintains continuity and quality throughout its long-term tour.
