Carnegie Science Center creates a 7,500-square-foot Mars journey with Electrosonic

The Carnegie Science Center sought to create an immersive exhibition, "Mars: The Next Giant Leap," that would transport visitors to Mars and inspire them about the future of space exploration. The challenge involved integrating complex, custom interactive media experiences across a 7,500-square-foot space, requiring a flexible and highly collaborative technology solution. Electrosonic was engaged to provide comprehensive audiovisual services, including system design, integration, and specialty projection, to bring this visionary project to life.

Electrosonic designed and implemented a seamless technology solution featuring interactive touchscreens, edge-blended projections, and LED displays. This allowed visitors to actively engage with exhibits, such as designing a Martian habitat and voting on a colony's development. A key outcome was the delivery of a dynamic and easily updatable experience, facilitated by a custom content management system, ensuring the exhibition can evolve with new knowledge. Electrosonic's work successfully created an awe-inspiring and educational journey that sparks excitement and dialogue about humanity's future on Mars.
