A Electrosonic Case Study
The Biomuseo, a museum designed by Frank Gehry in Panama, faced the unique challenge of creating immersive audiovisual experiences within a building featuring no parallel or perpendicular surfaces. To showcase Panama's biodiversity, Electrosonic was tasked with developing customized systems to display content correctly in this highly unusual architectural environment, including a multi-panel LCD screen and projections for a cube-shaped space.
Electrosonic implemented a solution using standard projectors with custom mirror bounce mechanisms to correct the image display across the non-standard angles. The resulting immersive and interactive exhibits successfully tell the story of Panama's biodiversity, fusing technology with architecture. The award-winning Biomuseo is now a major tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors annually and serving as a significant source of regional pride.
