Hubb Timber builds competitive edge with Framing

Hubb Timber Frame Limited, a small Taunton-based building contractor specialising in bespoke timber-frame structures, needed a faster way to design frames and support its plan to bring manufacturing in house. Co-founder and chief designer Adam Poole had previously designed frames by hand, so the company turned to Elecosoft and its Framing software to improve efficiency and quality.

Elecosoft’s Framing software streamlined the design and quotation process, calculated materials required for each job, and saved Hubb Timber Frame days or even weeks on frame design. After more than 13 years using the software, the company says it can compete with much larger contractors, with Framing acting as a major time-saving tool that supports its small workshop and single designer.
